ImTOO Video Splitter allows you to split a video into as many pieces as you like. Splitting video is necessary when the file is so large that it does not fit onto a device or disc of a given capacity or when you want to publish the video on some video sharing sites.
The program’s interface is so simple that it is unlikely that you will require any help at all. You should start by loading a video file. For this purpose, you can use the Open button or simply drag and drop the file onto the application’s window. Immediately after that, you will be able to preview the video. This way you can set split points where you want. Unlike other applications that allow extracting single fragments from a larger file, this one lets you use as many split points as necessary. Unfortunately, the corresponding button of unquestionable importance does not follow the logical visual hierarchy, as it appears too small and dim.
There are also two other buttons to delete a specific split point and to clear all the split points respectively. Sadly, the latter is incorrectly captioned, which may lead to misunderstanding of its real function. I also feel there should be some buttons to move the video a step forward or backward so that the split points could be placed more accurately. You can also use automatic splitting according to three different criteria. First, you can split the file by video duration. Second, you can split it into chunks of a specific size. Third and final, you can divide the video into a set number of smaller clips of an average size. more
